Looking back at my time at Carmel College, I can confidently say those four years shaped me in more ways than I expected. Studying Mechanical Engineering wasn’t always easy, but the support from friends, approachable faculty, and the overall campus environment made it a memorable journey. What I appreciated most was how the college gave space not just for academics, but also for growth beyond the classroom. Whether it was group projects, college events, or just those random hangouts in the canteen – every part of the experience added something valuable. Carmel will always be a place I’m proud to be connected with. It’s where I built lasting friendships, learned life lessons, and found direction for what’s next.

Carmel College of Engineering and Technology was a place where curiosity met guidance and challenges became opportunities to grow. The lessons learned, both inside the classroom and beyond, continue to shape my thinking and approach. Every discussion, every bit of encouragement, and every moment of support from my teachers has left a lasting impact. I am sincerely grateful for their dedication and inspiration, which continue to guide me in all that I do.

I have always approached my academic journey with sincerity and dedication, striving for excellence in every endeavour. I completed my B.Tech (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering with distinction, securing the 6th rank in APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in 2023, and I am currently pursuing my M.Tech in Industrial Safety Engineering at NIT Trichy. My consistent performance has been recognised through a Merit Scholarship Mech Prize conducted by NACTET, and NSDC. I have also contributed to research and innovation with two research papers, “Coir-Based Sustainable Bio composites for Carry Bag Applications” published in Materials Today: Proceedings and “Mechanical and Thermal Behaviour of Hybrid Coir-Paper Composite Laminates” published in Materials Letters. and a presentation on “Digital Twins in Industry 4.0” at IEC ADVAMAP international conference 2023. My project work has focused on sustainable composite materials. I gained valuable practical exposure through internships at the Central Coir Research Institute and NTPC RGCCPP. I have completed projects related to composites, sustainable materials, fluid power automation, fire safety engineering and refrigerant dispersion modelling.

Beyond academics, I have actively participated in co-curricular and creative activities, winning first prizes in poster design competition (MACCET 2021)., story writing (Malayalam) and Essay writing (English), micro-fiction contest (Lexicon NITT 2024). To further strengthen my technical foundation, I have successfully completed several certification courses with top ranks, Glass Processing Technology (NPTEL- 98%), Strategies for Sustainable Design (NPTEL – 93%), Rapid Manufacturing (NPTEL- 88%), Oil Hydraulics and pneumatics (NPTEL -73%), Fusion360 bootcamp (Autodesk), Fire Safety Management (ILO ITC), AI Masterclass (ILO ITC), Major Industrial Accidents (ILO ITC). I remain deeply grateful to my teachers and my alma mater, Carmel College of Engineering and Technology, for their constant guidance and support, which have shaped my growth and inspired me to pursue excellence with humility, curiosity, and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the engineering field and life.
